Nov. 21st, 2011 09:14 pmShe takes a week to freak out and mourn by herself. Since she left his house, Sofie hasn't spoken to Logan. She skipped football and gymnastics the rest of the week, unsure how those things would...affect her now. Thankfully, with finals coming up and it being flu season, avoiding her parents hasn't been as hard as you'd suspect. I'm not feeling well or I've gotta study for this test has pretty much gotten her out of everything.
That doesn't mean she doesn't feel absolutely shitty about it. She close to her parents, her father especially, and she feels like she should be spending as much time with them as possible before she tells them, before she loses them. But she's afraid they'll notice something if they're with her for too long, so she avoids them just a little longer.
The Tuesday that she tells them, she skips school again to go to the free clinic. The doctor confirms everything that she already knew and though she doesn't want them, hands her pamphlets on abortion and adoption. When she gets home (about an hour before her mother), she parks herself on the floor of her shower and just...sits, water beating down on her and steaming up the room.
